Ranga

Mirage Regalia Ranga, aka "Ranga", is a colossal blade used by the Jet-series as a melee weapon.
Origin
Ranga was constructed by Kanai manasmith, Deva Datta, to be wielded by the Gargantua in combat. The blade was constructed from pieces of Gigantis' dorsal spines, with a hilt made from the bone of an unknown Gargantua. After the artifact was rediscovered in the Kanai city of Lion, it was relocated to Latitude Zero, where it was further modified by G-Force scientist and supervised spellcaster. The grip was reinforced with a mesh of space titanium to improve its handling and a blessed cloth was wrapped around the cross guard to stabilize the magical energies seeping for the blade itself.
Abilities
Ranga functions as a Light-Blade Hull capable of being wielded in a quadrant with an arm mount. During the Engineering phase of starship combat, the Magic officer is able to summon Ranga as a crew action. Ranga descends from the sky through a mana portal where it lands in the same hex as the starship. Provided that the starship has an unoccupied arm mount, the starship can equip Ranga without taking an action. Like the other Mirage Regalia, Ranga is able to embody the seven elements of Kanai mythology (corresponding to the seven types of G-Cells). When Ranga is summoned, it embodies a single element of the magic officer's choice. The active element can be changed once per round of starship combat by the magic officer as a crew action.
Elements
- Dash 1 (Moon): Ranga ignores shields.
- Dash 2 (Fire): When Ranga deals hull damage to an enemy starship, that starship takes additional hull damage (ignores shields) at the end of its next gunnery phase equal to the number of Ranga's damage die (As if Range had rolled all 1s on its attack).
- Dash 3 (Water): Ranga gains the Point weapon property with a bonus equal to its number of damage die.
- Dash 4 (Natural): Ranga can make ranged attacks out to short range.
- Dash 5 (Gold): Ranga gains the teleportation property.
- Dash 6 (Earth): Ranga gains a +1 bonus to gunnery checks per damage die it has.
- Dash 7 (Sun): Whenever Ranga would deal Hull damage, the gunner can instead choose to deal equal damage to the targeted starships power core. The targeted starship's maximum power core value decreases by an amount equal to the hull damage taken. An engineer on the targeted starship can make an engineering check during the engineering phase (DC 10 + 1-1/2 X the starships tier) to restore maximum PCU by an amount equal to their ranks in engineering.
